Why should I come on Camden Street Art Tours?
Camden Street Art Tours give people a great insight to into Camden that’s not usually seen by tourists or locals! Our carefully crafted tours point out the culturally rich backstreets of Camden and share stories about the artists who created the work. We have organised over 900 legal walls across London so we really know our street art! Since we’re proud to call many artists our friends we have a more personal touch than most tours could hope for.
Can I just turn up without booking?
Yes you can! Please note though that our tours are limited to a maximum of 30 people to provide the best experience for guests. We cannot guarantee you a place on your first choice of tour if you turn up on the day.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 5 minutes early so your guide can check your ticket and start the tour promptly.
I can’t book a tour on the date I want to! Help!
If you’d like to book a tour but the date isn’t available in the calendar it means the tour is fully booked or its too far in advance to book. You can book tours up to 3 months in advance.
Where do the tours meet?
Your tour guide will be waiting for you outside Camden Tube Station, near the cash machines. Look for someone carrying a Camden Street Art Tours sign. More details will be sent by email before the tour takes place.
How long do tours last?
Walking tours typically last two hours. For larger groups or slower walkers they can sometimes last a bit longer.
Do you run tours in all seasons?
Yes, yes we do! Spring, summer, autumn and winter! London’s weather is temperamental and it can rain heavily. Please check the weather before you join us and if need be bring an umbrella! Only in exceptional circumstances of very heavy rain will we cancel the tour, in which case we’ll let you know with as much notice as possible!
What should I bring?
Aside from your good self, you may want to bring a camera and an umbrella (or waterproofs). We recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes too.
Oh dear, I’m running late and I’m worried the tour will leave! What can I do?
We can wait for up to five minutes after our designated start time before we set off. After that to be fair to your fellow tour guests we will need to set off. There’s a lot to see!
But don’t worry! In your confirmation email we’ll send you a contact phone number for your guide so you can call, we will let you know where we are and you can catch up! If you don’t have a mobile phone there are pay phones right by the tour start point.
If you completely miss the tour we’ll try and fit you on another on a date that works for you. Ticket sales are final but you can transfer your ticket to another person or save the ticket for a future date if rearranging is inconvenient for you in the short term.
Will the walk always be the same?
Street art comes and goes all the time! The tour often changes to accommodate the changes on the street. However, the theme of the tour and the fun of the experience is a constant!
Do you give discounts for bigger groups?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Who is responsible for the safety of the people taking the tour?
The guide will remind you of safety precautions at the beginning of each tour but each member of the group is responsible for their own safety.
I was asked in the confirmation letter to bring my ticket so the guide can check it. Will my ticket will be emailed to me prior to the tour?
Your payment confirmation is your ticket. Please present this to the guide at the start of the walk – this can be printed out or on your phone.
How do I recognize the guide?
Look out for one of our guides holding up a ‘Camden Street Art Tours’ logo at the meeting point. You will also receive the guide’s mobile phone number in your confirmation email prior of the tour taking place.
